You haven't learned the first rule of parenting a teen.
Start insisting that she wears a mask. Every time you see her, remind her to wear her mask because you are concerned about her health. :>) If she's away from home and you call her, be sure to remind her to wear her mask at all times, because she doesn't know if anyone around her may be sick.
She'll stop wearing it in no time just to spite you. Eventually, it will become an argument every time you ask her to wear the mask and she will stop carrying one with her. To put on a mask will be to lose the argument, to admit you were right... which isn't going to happen.
Something explained how the "viral load travels from your mouth to other people".
So, I kept thinking of a simple way that will encourage someone to think for themselves with everyday applications.
My usual examples have been:
Cooking and farting.
Make something very fragrant or just delicious for dinner. Invite her to sit nearby and wear her mask. The mask should protect her. If that's the case, she couldn't smell the food.
As for farting, underwear and jeans can't stop that smell from getting out.... ???
The main killer after contracting a respiratory disease is the pneumonia that follows. Show her the statistics. Then ask her if she thinks a dirty mask, with her hot, moist breath, may be an incubator for such killer diseases.
And then explain to her that it was masks in the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic that were the real killer because of the pneumonia that inevitably followed.
Follow that up with research showing the effectiveness of zinc ionophores like Quercetin and HCQ, zinc, vitamin D and vitamin C and why HCQ and Quercetin are vital to the therapy.
In fact, all the research lately over the HCQ contoversy is beginning to show that HCQ is a miracle drug. There is growing evidence it even can combat certain cancers by allowing antivirals like zinc into the cells.
I agree with all of the above, but don't forget, the reason they tell people to wear a mask is not to protect themselves from the illness, but to protect OTHERS if you have it. The absolute nonsense is maddening. She's blames the non mask wearers for her getting sick.

Questions to ask her that will make her think:
If masks work why are you sick twice in a month?
How can a mask work for a wuflu virus but doesnt for a strep bacteria when a virus is 1000 times smaller than a bacteria?
