There's an oft overlooked scene in that movie - during the beginning when the main character is walking into the refugee camp at night he sees a couple men watching a TV. It then shows you what they're watching, briefly. It shows a couple of towers being toppled by a paper airplane.
Movie came out in the 80s. Heh check the time stamp of the scene if you go to check this out. Can't make it up.
