A little off topic but Dan Carlin is possibly the best historian you could ever run across
This linked story is about the Anabaptists, who took over the city of Muenster in the 1500's, were pushing the second coming of Christ, instituted proto-communism, overdosed on tainted rye and hallucinated to the point of eating cobblestone thinking it was loaves of bread, enacted polygamy with nuns, was attacked by a drunk army confusing sunset with sunrise, and it all came crashing down around them
Oh man, the anabaptists... what a mess they was (and continues to be, albeit under a new name). The Magdeburgers (??) might have eventually lost their siege but at least they weren't loony toons.
Silly anabaptists... have a bread ?https://bookofconcord.org/
Agreed
