ThanQ for that visual. I do a lot of work on the road and pull my camper when able and slow internet is my Achilles Heal. I wonder if Starlink would solve that?
Is soooooo portable. I just have it sitting on the deck plugged in. It even points it self. Serial feels like a step into the Future. Sleek and stylish. I’m not sure if I’ll mount it, considering the portability.
I believe in their FAQ they say it’s not really portable as each dish is linked to a specific satellite. Might want to look into it more before deciding if it’s for you.
They keep launching satellites. My zone was supposed to be online last year, so I’ve no idea how long before they get more access. I do know they have a goal of worldwide coverage.
I’m super out in the sticks so we qualified for one of the second beta tests. They don’t have all the satellite’s up yet for perfect service worldwide yet, but it’s on its way. Was supposed to be available last spring but “covid” sure slowed things it seemed.
I know I couldn’t get one since I live in an area with high-speed internet BUT my Mother, who is not on the internet, qualifies for this. I thought about ordering one “for her”.....
Starting package was $500 for the equipment and then they said $99 a month after that. I didn’t read anything about getting throttled or limited on any way. Im not sure if the beta sign up was a different sight or not but I gave them my zip code a few months back. We weren’t in the first selection. They sent out an email and it had a very first come first served, we might run out feel. Weather marketing or not.
Oh and being a beta tester itself doesn’t cost any more than the regular purchase price others should experience when the product becomes available to the greater public. Their goal has been to provide internet globally.
This guy also discusses recent remarks from Janet Yellen & Bill Gates who are both trying to trash decentralized crypto currency because they are getting ready to push their new central bank digital currency. For me, when Gates says to do something, I usually do the opposite.

Perfect. I’m going to look into this MUCH more
Global Game changer.

Ooo I hadn’t read that. At least within the range of your satellite maybe
You have to be North within a certain degree of latitude, last I looked into it. For example: Will not work in Florida.

Congrats, can you post picts of hardware? Looking forward to rv and marine options!
Thanks! I’m really excited to have the opportunity. I never wanted to have to have it, but they won’t let me in the Va without a mask.

I will get you a pic of the device for you tomorrow in the light.
Oh wow, it really is like a pizza box but much smaller than imagined. Awesome!!!
Why’d you have to say pizza and spoil it.
Sorta kidding.
Easiest setup ever too! https://i.maga.host/NviaV0g.png
Love it, probably gonna get it.
How much does it cost to be a beta tester (if they pick you)?
Also, are there any monthly data limits?

Elon just announced that Starlink speeds will be upgraded to handle 300Mbps.
Musk: Starlink will hit 300Mbps and expand to “most of Earth” this year SpaceX CEO teases higher speeds, lower latency, and near-global coverage.

I also heard that there will be an IPO for investors - In my opinion, this will be huge.
