Dan Torrance must protect a young girl with similar powers from a cult known as The True Knot, who prey on children in order to remain immortal.

Also Monsters Inc, and many more. Its a very common theme in many movies.

YESSSS! I also have found the killing of the kids scenes in Dr. Sleep to be "connected" to adrenochrome stories. Very creepy once you're aware
