Ah, the child from that movie, "Matilda". I was one of those kids who watched Matilda on repeat in the 90s. I didn't realize then how that movie influence the subconscious mind to focus on hatred.
Given Matilda's cruel mistreatment by her family and the school principal, it was natural to root for revenge. Her powers manifested based on anger and negative thoughts. There was some positivity sprinkled in like the schoolteacher to make the revenge driven influence more subtle.
I can only imagine how many troubled children this movie influenced to subconsciously seek petty revenge over differences because of how rewarding it felt on screen.
