They spoke with the Metropolitan police. The guy being questioned (Steven Sund) said "Capitol police." The metropolitan police guy also mentioned capitol police, so they are two different entities apparently.

As for the Sergeant at Arms thing, that was a little confusing. Maybe they have a new Sergeant at Arms after 1/20/21?
