Until they realize the media lies to them, you are fighting an uphill battle, friend.

Look for opportunities to point out to them when the media is lying to them. It isn’t hard and it doesn’t have to be about politics. When they start to realize on their own they are being lied to (and they will when they know what to look for after you’ve given them examples), then they will start coming to you for more information. Be patient, it will happen.
