I can attest to the fact that one can be pro-liberty, pro-Trump, anti-gun control, self-reliant, off-grid, prepped for the end of the world and not eat meat.
Only 6 years here as vegans, so it's good to hear from a long-timer. I can't imagine how much extra work I'd have keeping animals here. We had a family of lynx come within 15 feet of our door on Monday, so if we had chickens I'd have to have them well-protected. As it is, we always have resident rabbits and grouse, so we're not lacking in "pets", they're just very, very free-range.
Our defenses are pretty pathetic. If SHTF, then we'll be warding off attackers with pointy sticks and potato projectiles. Possibly baked potatoes. We're kinda counting on the rabbits, lynx, grouse, wolves and bears to have our backs.

Totally agree. Personal choice I made over 25 years ago.

Good for you, hopefully you have a well armed friend if SHTF. It seems like that’d be a good pairing.
