Hell I know a number of gays and such who were very cool people, But as they continue to force everything in my life to cater to their lifestyles, and not only spew their opinions on me, but demand I share them, and slowly increase their hostility to me demanding my lifestyle be stamped out, I become slowly less tolerant.

They really don't want to turn live and let live into "this town is only big enough for one of us." Not when they are 0.6%.

Their loud demands are in turn driving policy because everybody knows conservatives are actually extremely tolerant and will even buy from or even support companies with some positions they might not identify with, but they also know liberals are insane spergs who have absolutely zero tolerance for anything that doesn't cater to them and their egotistical vanity.
