if it's a federal crime to raise the price of a water bottle from 30 cents to $10 during a natural disaster, why is it ok to raise the electricity price from $50 to $9000?
I get supply and demand, but where's the consistency?
Either gouging during a declared emergency is acceptable or it isn't.
Also, the Biden admin refused to allow a temporary lifting of emissions regulations to expedite bringing the grid back online. You can't just fire up 10 coal plants because your emissions over time would be through the roof because starting a plant is dirty until it gets hot.
What's the point of declaring an emergency if literally nothing is allowed to relax to deal with the issue.
