Story was that Michael Jackson had Vitiligo which is the reason for the one glove early on (it tends to affect the hands first) and when it spread to his face back then it was easier to bleach the skin to hide it (nowadays there are better treatments for restoring pigmentation.) As far as the rest of the plastic surgery on his face, that I cannot come up with an answer for.
