Back in his college days, he rose head and shoulders above the rest of the players with his leadership and motivations. It was remarkable to see someone so intense and yet steady. He was like the ocean, raising all the boats, he raised the level of the rest of the team, leading from the front, and setting the bar.
Quite remarkable actually for someone as young as he was then.
I thought it was so unfair the way the NFL treated him, and not so much for the kneeling, it was like no one there believed in him.
When he got that rare chance to actually play, he proved he could win at that level and was still humble, and even after delivering wins he still didn't get any respect or further opportunities.
As much as I like him as a person, Tebow was not a good NFL quarterback. Yes, he won that playoff game (with Demaryus Thomas makign the play with YAC). Dude struggled to go through his progressions and wasn't very accurate. His strength was his mobility.
If he played WR or RB, he'd have had a much longer NFL career. There are many QBs who play well in College but don't adjust to the speed and complexity of the NFL. It's a lot different.

He was a winner tho and that is infectious...not the best qb but the best leader
He was a kneeler though ;)
