How did Joe Biden win the South Carolina D-Primary after losing the first 3 states?

Trying to do a little reseach on this topic to redpill a friend. Anyone remember how they rigged the primary for JB to be a shoe in? Can't recall the details on this pls shed some light

I think the set up was for super Tuesday which they managed to get done right before the covid lockdown. Several of those states were most likely rigged to pull Biden from the end of his run to the top.
