I’ve never particularly loved his speaking style.
I LOVE his action.
And he’s not done with action, now, by any means. Yes, this is clearly a doom-feeling speech. Because he needs people to understand how bad the alternative is.
But he’s now talking about what WE will do for America. Now.
Because this is just getting started.
Edit: I wrote this before he really ramped it up about 2/3 the way through, and ended with a ?. Great day for patriots!
Oh, I don’t disagree.
He’s as charismatic as it gets, and he’s definitely funny; an incredibly talented public speaker.
I just feel like he dances around things rather than nailing opponents with razor sharp arguments.
I often feel like there are some lost opportunities, given his stage. A lot of Ted Cruz hater here, whatever, but I love his knowledge, and his obvious debate background. I recall seeing a video at some campaign stop of his years ago, where a stereotypical angry college girl yelled some hackneyed gotcha question at him about global warming... and he turned towards her, faced her, and absolute tore her apart, as genially as can be, with facts and logic. Kind of Dinesh D’Souza like.
Look, I don’t want to take away anything from PDJT. But his real appeal for me is not the stuff he says, but the stuff he gets done.
And that was the beauty of today’s speech - it got better and better over its course, but what he’s (I believe, clearly) been doing behind the scenes is the truly incredible stuff.
