Someone put up a side by side from last year's cpac. The gold fringe was on the flag last year, but it was not this year.

According to the US Army Study Guide, fringe or no fringe means absolutely NOTHING. It is up to the buyer or the party or group that wishes to exhibit the flag which one they choose. It does not mean what everyone keeps saying it does. Look it up for yourself.

Yes it has different meanings to different people. Its mostly lost its meaning after being misused for decades. But every flag in the oval office and every flag at cpac has had the gold fringe for a very long time.

Odd timing that they would change the flag now, dont you think?
