Weekly Discussion Thread - March 1st - 8th
?️ DISCUSSION ?
There's a lot to talk about this week, so let's get to it.
PC's became headgear for the Army in 2011. Those guys are all AF. Some AF jobs still wear the beret...and the insignia on the berets is something so large and obnoxious that only the Airforce, or 1st CAV would ever use it.
Also, better (longer) vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGappUPCusk
Shot of the classroom before they went out, can read "Air Force" on uniform.
Also bumper on the M998. "142 SFS" is The 142 SFS wing. Basically Air-force MPs. https://www.142fw.ang.af.mil/ Rear driver side bumper is always unit designation. Right side is usually call-sign.
Going door to door and checking on the elderly/infirm is pretty common after a large storm/disaster for the NG, especially in rural Oregon.
Security force!!! Thank you. I couldn't think of the name. SFS stands for "Security Force Squadron"
I knew SFS was Maps but I couldn't remember the damn acronym. Thank you, that was bugging the shit out of me.
Good to know!
Thank you for the feedback! We cannot always catch every single detail. Luckily we have team members like yourself to keep the ship steering in the right direction.
I think my above comment sounded much more dismissive than I meant to be. I am working on being a better written communicator.
I think you are highlighting the right things, and if military going door to door isn't instinctively ringing your alarm bells...you aren't on the right team lol. I just think this instance is way more routine than you'd think.
Happy to lend some words on one of the few subjects I am knowledgeable on. :)
Your name kills me ?
