So, I went to visit my parents after almost a year of them refusing physical visits. They now feel somewhat safe. My dad decides to start trashing Trump. He was spitting out every lie that we've seen shared by CNN/MSNBC/ fake news. He claimed that there was no voter fraud, no antifa at the capital and that the Proud Boys are the ones who burned down cities last year and that BLM was trying to protect their communities. He then went on a rant that I shouldn't have a right to say anything because I didn't vote when I was 24 years old. He made the ridiculous statement that we came SO close to losing our Democracy. My son and I sadly got up and quietly walked out from the visit. My parents are lost. They spent the last 4 years being programmed and there is no hope. They have been lied to so much that no amount of "proof" will change their minds.
My parents are gone, I've lost them.....
?️ DISCUSSION ?
I feel your pain. My parents (80) spent the entire 2020 in a vacuum sealed house glued to CNN and the local liars, curled up in a ball scared as shit..."trusting the science". If CNN told them to go to their bedroom and off their selves, they absolutely would. I rarely speak with them. #1, they talk in headline speak. #2, I can promise you, if they knew about me and my faith in Q, they'd be calling every law enforcement agency they could find to "turn him in". My parents were good conservative people....now they are basically dead, brain dead zombies.
"headline speak" I love that. Might have to steal it. :D
I keep a low profile with my family members. "Qanon? What even is that??" lol (so they don't "turn me in" also. Big brother is literally big brother).
LOL, I'm just happy to hear someone else experiences that!!!
I'm surprised my parents haven't turned me in yet, LOL.
my inlaws.....perfect way to describe it. 'They talk in headline speak' and get upset and hang up on you if you contradict the fauci/cdc/who/gates outline for life.
I feel your pain, too. My own dad, 73, threatened to call my husband's employer and CDC because he was around someone with COVID but refused to get tested. A while back he texted me when Q first made headlines, and asked me if I was a member. I simply replied I had never heard of Q.
Dang, that's a rough one. It will be interesting, after all the dust settles, to see if they wake up or die in denial. My wife and I talk about this almost everyday. It's distressing as hell, but not within our control. We just pray for the best and prepare for the worst. Take care.
That's dark.
Often times the truth of this world, at this moment, is very dark. Hence, why we hope to see a crap ton more light soon. Hopefully my parents see it, if not, then I’ll cross that bridge when I get there.
