The reason why Trump couldn't be in office is because he was the perpetual strawman. Anything that went wrong was a direct result of him being in office, according to the left. Now that he's not in office, they cannot blame him anymore. However, because of the last 4 years of blaming the strawman, the left has entered into the habit of having to blame someone.
