Eh, I'm used to it. Been here most of my life. I live in a very nice part of the region and don't have to deal with much associated with big city living, though crime (theft) has been on an uptick. That said, we do have to deal with Coonman and the likes of the lunatics running Fairfax County (re flag story from yesterday). Almost all of my friends work for the government in one form or another. I do have friends/family who are swamp, so I have to deal with that...
The biggest benefit is work. DMV never experienced any significant unemployment during the various recessions. Real estate is very strong here too. It's expensive and when COVID is turned off, the traffic returns to normal, which is hellish.
Beach is about 3 hours away. But if I'm going to the beach, I'm headed south.
yeah that makes sense, doubt my small city needs to 'block' anything;)

and sure it has it's benefits, I have to travel for beaches doctors shopping. your area has all of that.

yep me too, want to go south and can't wait to travel again.?
