They're very afraid your example of life will be an influence to others, and a new generation of girls will want to grow up and be like you. You are very clearly at the center off those they attack. Count any attacks on your "simple life" from career women as a badge of honor, and that of jealousy.
Thank you! It's really hard sometime. As much I want to believe I've complete de-brainwashed myself.... that crap goes really deep. Especially when it's repeated ALL THE TIME even in some church groups I've been in. I have to keep going back to God's Word. Women are to be keepers of the home. And while the woman in Proverbs 31 does make and sell things at the market in town, that is still more of a work from home job. She also has servants that help her run her house.... it's just me running my house here haha. So I've always thought of working outside the home as optional for women. (Wives in particular)
And that's how my husband and I have always set up our lives. We live off of his income. Any money I make is "extra" money for non-necessities. He has never made me work outside the home or stopped me from working. It's completely up to me, but I like being home. I enjoy taking care of my husband and our pets. I am writing a book and I enjoy lots of hobbies. The amount of hate I get is astounding. I don't get how having some sort of career gives so many people purpose. It's just a job. When you retire, the company will just replace you with someone else. Taking care of my family and pouring myself into our home and having that extra time to really care for my husband means everything to me.
It's just really hard to constantly feel judged as lazy or useless because of this decision. So it's a constant battle in my mind.
Well, my parents did as you are doing, and I definitely appreciate them for it. Be strong, you are making a difference. You can see that by the heat you get from people. So many of them are zombies repeating what they've been sold. Don't take it personally, they're deceived.
I can get pretty feisty if you get on my bad side. My husband thinks it's hilarious as long as it's not him on the other end... no one wants to be on my bad side. lol
What!...They're scared of little old me? LOL.
I know lol I'm just a little 5'4 homemaker that loves Jesus.
BOO!
You scared??? lol
