Prions are proteins. They cause mad cow disease or Kreuzfeldt-Jakob Syndrome. The brain is destroyed. However, if you have sufficient stomach acid and you eat a mad cow, the HCl in your stomach will destroy the prion. However, if they are injected into your arm - you are dead. Hope this is not true.
