I have yet to find a myth that doesn't say mankind was created from either dirt, mud, or clay.
What's truly fascinating is that after 2 and a half decades of studying the Bible and thinking that the polytheistic gods of the pagans were purely fictitious creations of man's imagination, I discovered that they are actually based on Biblical beings : the elohim or Watchers that were part of the Divine Council and the nephilim that they begat. (Deut. 32:8 and Gen. 6:1-4 with elaboration from the Book of Enoch). See Michael S Heiser for a deeper understanding. It also explains some incredible knowledge the ancients had that still baffles us today (e.g. Megalithic structures made without present-day heavy machinery).
