I have a 6 yr old and he has been in speech therapy at school. He goes every day all day all year. Private Christian Trinity. Well we had conferences. She beleives Liam has Apraxia of speech. It's can never be cured per say. But it can be managed. I'm scared walking into untreaded territory.
I messaged the mods about this 3 days ago about where to post this to avoid a suspension. So if this needs deleted and replaced somewhere else please let me know and I'll move it. I never got a response from any of the mods so accept my apology if I posted in the wrong place.

Whatever the case, your son is perfect the way he is. When my now 8 year old was 5 or 6, I started freaking out because he has comprehension issues. I took him to different doctors because he had adhd/comprehension difficulties that made life suuuuuper hard. There was no real outcome other than to put him on meds. So I dropped the whole idea of trying to "fix" him. So glad I did not go down that road because he is improving the older he gets. It's still very annoying dealing with him sometimes, not going to lie, but he is who he is and ultimately I realized I love him more for it. So maybe your kid will grow out of these things, maybe he won't. Don't let someone's diagnosis be the be-all-end-all. I have found that many doctors are wrong, all the time. It's a lot easier to make a diagnosis than to not give one. Stay strong and I will be praying for you and your son .
