This is just a thought that came to me - no source beyond my feeble brain.

I live in Northern Virginia outside of DC., and that colors my perception. Our Board of County Supervisors is 5-3 Dem and they just approved a 7 1/2 percent property tax increase and are increasing teacher pay (union payoff) and have hired a "Diversity and Inclusion Director" for the county staff (you already know that will become a full blown office with major funding). The Commonwealth is totally controlled by Dems (House, Senate, Governor, AG) and are moving at breakneck speed to pass radical social legislation (SJW total agenda, infringement on gun rights, ongoing activity restrictions, etc). We all see the frenetic pace Pugnacious Pelosi is pushing the House and her partners in the Senate and WH.

So why the rush?? Power is meaningless if you don't use it. The Dems did not really expect to have the Senate and thus total control They recognize that they have caught lightening in a bottle and they know that they will not be in this position again at the national and probably state level. Possibly includes the local level as well because they have demonstrated that they are more tied to their agenda than to the expressed wishes of the people.

So, they are now in a rush to get everything done as fast as possible because they know they are on borrowed time.

Again, this is just a thought based on my observations from my corner of Virginia.
