And the desperate and undiscerning will always fall for something seductive.

I can't worry about every naive soul out there, but from what little I know about this "George" thing, it doesn't seem particularly malign... just likely not genuine.

Look, I've never defended "George" before, and am not really doing so here... I just recommend not wasting too much energy on this, whatever your views on it might be. I humbly think that is the right call here. ?
