I like to garden. Learning to grow your own food can be really satisfying, and when shtf can be very useful knowledge to have.

I suggest gardening, foraging, hunting and fishing. You don’t have to be anyone’s slave if you can survive outside of their system.

The gardening suggestion is my favorite. You don’t want to learn all the important stuff AFTER The SHTF!

  1. It’s a lot of work to set up a garden.
  2. Your soil sucks
  3. Certain bugs will eat your veggies 4.you can’t feed a family of four on one tomato plant and one pepper plant. You need ALOT of plants!
  4. The water coming out of your hosts might be softened. Not good for plants
  5. Don’t fertilize corn plants with fresh horse poop.

These are things I learned by trial and error, mostly error.
