And the crab people are destabilizing South Park by turning all of the men and boys metrosexual through a Queer Eye for the Straight Guy type reality show...
I distinctly remember watching the DVD commentary on that episode, too, because it was one of my favorites because of the crab people ending. Matt and Trey were SUPER awkward discussing the ending. They were dismissive of it and said that they threw it together at the last second because of writer's block and that it was their least favorite ending of any episode to date. Pretty elaborate world building for writer's block on a throwaway ending, I'd say...
It's because they are trying to tell us the truth without actually doing so. Crab people was very purposefully made to be dumb and over the top stupidly ridiculous. That's what makes it so funny, but it's also what makes you completely toss away any of the subliminal truth Matt and Trey were actually trying to tell us.
Then the question is, were they actually trying to convey the truth for our benefit?
Or are they part of the cabal, telling us the truth in plain sight like the Illuminati is required to do? Did Matt and Trey sell their souls in exchange for the freedom to do their show the way they were allowed to for so long?
It's obvious that a lot of celebrities have always been in the know on what's really happening. I just hope the day comes when we know who is part of the evil cabal and who has been better natured in the company of snakes.
It's fascinating to look back on the things we've watched throughout our lives and see them with new clarity, insight, and perspective.
