So let me get this straight... Habakkuk called out to his god about all the injustice in the world and his god said "hold my beer"? And even though this Habakkuk is some sort of a prophet, his second complaint got nothing but silence?

The take-away is that begging The LORD(tm) for protection from violence, injustice and wrongdoing only results in more of the same. And if you wait on The LORD(tm) to fix the problems then the invading hordes will destroy everything.

With a god like that, who needs a devil?
