And here I was thinking it was just an AI making news stories. I'm sure it's not hard for someone to program a simple AI bot that "fills in the blanks" and can transpose one storyline into another.

That is it. Except not AI, simple python or perl. The articles are almost identical, except for the stats they pulled from gunviolencearchive.org.

It's literally as sophisticated as Excel mail merge.
