The callsign AF1 goes with whichever aircraft a President is on, it could be a gulfstream or one of the presidential flights 747 it's the person on board that then designates which callsign it uses. In this case of a rotary Marine aircraft it's known as "Marine 1". If only the VP was on board then "Marine 2" or one of the fixed wing fleet it would be "AF2" callsign for the VP.
So far I've seen plenty of flights with China Joe onboard, all given a N/A callsign on the exchange, although to talk to air-traffic I'm assuming the correct callsigns, I've just never heard them.
