I had always read the quotes of 1984 about how the guy was FORCED to admit that 2+2=5. And then how he finally said it because the torture because so unbearable, but even that wasn't enough. The torture continued, because it wasn't enough to agree to stop the torture. He wanted the guy to actually BELIEVE that 2+2=5. In the 'before times' I always took this as just an analogy or cute little way to show what totalitarianism is like. But in the last year I've realized no, that's LITERALLY what they are doing. Trying to get us to accept and actually believe complete fucking lies, you know. Michelle Obama is a beautiful woman. Diversity is our strength. Covid is a deadly pandemic. There's no evidence of election fraud. It's sick man, really dark shit.
