I once read that pursuit of knowledge apart from God is the main problem stemming from when Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. When they disobeyed God and ate from that tree, that was the first time they departed from God's instruction. This resulted in mortality and death.
Adam and Eve were "enlightened" and gained knowledge of good and evil. It could also be described as being "illuminated". So, it would make sense why a secretive and deceitful group would call themselves the "illuminati." It would make sense why there would be a global, wide-reaching array of various other secretive groups connected on various levels, compartmentalized like an intelligence agency, with other groups like the "skull and bones" and other surface level groups like the IRS and the Federal Reserve and "think-tanks" that would be hellbent on pushing forward full speed ahead to what they believe is "progress," which is actually knowledge apart from God. Their recklessness indicates such a heightened level of hubris and entitlement that is also completely unrestrained.
This would explain the symbolism of white and black checkerboards representing good and evil, light and darkness, and that it's all just a game to them. The pyramid, and the compass and square could give us some insight into their techniques - playing both sides deceitfully, propping themselves up at the top of the pyramid. It becomes clear that they are actually embracing the god of this world - the devil - or who they think of as lucifer. They are doing the work of the devil, according to how he is leading and commanding them - seeking power by any means necessary, operating in the shadows and behind closed doors, using pure deception, lying and stealing, full of pride and every wicked practice - performing evil rituals for power, good is evil and evil is good, a murderer from the beginning. This really helps to make sense of much of the world we are living in. Just look at the things that have transpired, that we know of in the 19th century after the French Revolution, things like communism and darwinism, and think of all the destruction and how they influenced the masses away from God.
Therefore, I believe there are much deeper roots and meanings to "right" and "left"... Remember, they are ruling this world right now using symbols and esoteric knowledge. The evil is clearly present on all sides politically, they want to put evil for good and good for evil, they want to confuse. But God is not a God of confusion, so we have Bible verses like this. I believe "right," found in the Bible in such a positive light - the right hand of God, the sheep gathered on the right, the heart of the wise inches to the right - is about trusting in the Lord with all your heart, leaning not on our own understanding, seeking God with all your heart, knocking on His door, rejecting this world, and conforming to the image of Christ.
