I’ve just picked this up from Combat LVL.
In my life as a normal? British citizen I can only recall ONE common hand gesture.
A hand gesture that was constructed of a clenched fist and an upright thumb. The classic thumbs up.
You will know this gesture as President Trump uses it constantly. To me it is the symbol of “ well done!” “ great!” “ fantastic!!” Its simplistic but means everything and puts a smile on people’s faces.
So compare to this careful placement of the hand, a placement used by his father, grandfather etc, a placement used in portraits. Is it a placement that represents Nobility or a sign of something dark.
It’s a sign of royalty.
Nietzsche was a philosopher and he wasn't royalty. It's the hidden hand sign.
The mainstream explanation (so as to avoid questions as to why so many kings and Founding Fathers flashed the hidden hand) is that it's the "hand-in-waistcoat" gesture.
He was an Emperor. Sounds like royalty to me.
