Fun Fact: You can't see a virus with a normal optical microscope, no matter how powerful it is. You must use an electron scanning microscope to see a virus.
So if you can see the gaps between the threads of a mask with your naked eyes, how can you believe a mask can stop something that you need an electron microscope to see.

Their excuse is that the "virus attaches to droplets in the air", which is then big enough to get caught. Strange though that they said masks don't block smoke from back when we had the wildfires, considering said smoke would have had larger particulates than the droplets....
