As I stated, maybe not every one of them. You can't deny how many people are very quick to make fun of and harass Christians for their beliefs. They are vile, nasty people. That's just true. I don't act like that towards people so I'm not worried about calling out those who do. They don't seem like happy people to me if they go around bashing others simply for having faith. It's not so much a pointing finger as it is just an observation. People who are happy don't do that. With regard to Mike Pence, I don't believe he's quite the practicing Christian that he wants us all to believe he is.
I do agree with you that the Kingdom of Heaven is absolutely within each of us. However; the "practice" part is what keeps us on the path on a regular basis; whatever you consider that "practice" to be - whether that's going to church, reading the Bible, praying daily, doing good deeds for others (helping people), or whatever it is that keeps your faith alive. And I don't think there's anything wrong with that. But, to each his own. I thought your suppository comparison was pretty funny!
