Putin should have gotten Biden on the phone, debated him on video, and posted it almost live; just delayed enough for Biden’s team to not figure it out in time.

He didn't need to. He lives in Diden's head now... he is winning points without having to risk the optics of that one. It would just resurrect images of Khrushchev's post Paris comments.
