They stated this is because the lymph nodes swell up after receiving the vaccination and can cause suspect images on the results. They are further instructed to receive MRIs and or diagnostic ultrasounds. So they tell you to wait five weeks. I stated to one of the doctors this is highly suspect. They said not at all! This happens with the flu vaccination as well but because this is a mass vaccination it is showing up more so they advise you to wait. Isn’t the flu vaccination a mass vaccination as well?

Generally older ladies get the flu vaccine and usually that spread out over a few months in the fall. Many younger people don't get the flu vax.
He is right that ANY vaccine or infection in the upper extremity/chest area for that matter can swell lymph nodes in the axilla/chest, which would cause false findings on mammogram
