Came here to posit just that. Sounds like Looking Glass.
It's a cool rabbit hole, I wonder if it's real? I hope we find out someday.
Time Travel has always interested me since I was a teenager. I've often wondered "If" it was possible to send a Thought back through time to Warn yourself of a bad decision or to avoid leaving the house in order to prevent an accident or other bad event? Could this be what DejaVu truly is? Just positing ....
! Great minds must really think alike, cuz I've wondered the exact same thing myself!
I even tried to force-extend the deja vu feeling to see if I could read the future. I was a server at the time, and felt that I would walk down the aisle and the guy in the middle would ask for a sprite.
He asked for a coke, but then changed his mind and asked for Sprite.
Coincidence? Yeah LOL, but a weird one
I have had the ability to see Ahead sometimes by seconds or minutes or longer. First time it happened I was in 7th grade and I had a dream where I walk into my 2nd hour class room and the desks were two deep in a horseshoe formation. I was front row left side three desks in. I sit down and when the bell rings a girl in 2nd row nearest the teacher drops her books to the floor accidentally and at that I woke up. Two weeks later that event happened exactly as I saw. In 2009 my wife worked at the same company I worked for just as a evening janitor. Anyway her supervisor who was a black lady who had some race issues with us white people. Well my wife shared something she had accidentally done but fixed. Her boss took what she said and twisted it and in my dream my wife is called into hr where her supervisor and their boss along with hr gal and the other employee involved were there and her supervisor betrays her confidence and gets her in trouble and my wife quits and leaves in tears. That was a Thursday morning and I told her about my dream. The next day Friday noon, my wife being there for less than an hour gets called into hr and pretty much everything I saw came to pass. By me telling her the day before she was Ready for it and instead of leaving in tears she left resolute and strong. There are countless other examples but you get the idea.
Wow, that's awesome! Sounds useful. I don't know why, but some people seem to be like that. I don't know if it's supernatural, other dimension/plane of existence, biblical, quantum, etc.
I've had weird occurrences all my life too, but never really got to see the future although I do believe you and have heard similar cases from others having experienced the same.
What's your explanation for your experiences? Have you come to any conclusions or beliefs about them?
Or, he could have received a telepathic subliminal suggestion to have a Sprite, even though his usual was a Coke. That's the problem with evaluating paranormal events. In this case, it is a choice between precognition and telepathic suggestion.
Yeah, could very well be. What if our minds all exist kind of on the same planes, but usually our own frequency...but sometimes frequencies can equalize or harmonize?
Telepathy, in that case, although maybe we don't recognize it for what it is
If we are truly quantum beings living in a multi-universe reality, it might explain deja-vu if it's some form of quantum entanglement state that sometimes occurs with an "adjacent" version of yourself.
I would think that would feel like experiencing something for a second time that you've not even experienced a first time.
If I could send back a thought to my 17 YO self upon enlisting in the Navy, it would be "It is NOT your father's voice you hear"-my life would have been very different. but by now the time line I am in is too set to change..
