Forgive me if I sound ignorant but the first powered flight wasn't until 1903? I'm not all that familiar with the military as before President Trump, I didn't have any interest in war and military (ranking and all) and "airborne" sounds like it involves planes and dropping corps out of planes, like with parachutes?
It’s a meme that blends comedy with reality.
Ah I see, without the "shitpost" tag, I wouldn't know. Thanks for letting me know!
It sorta balances the line between comedy and fake news.
This was the early days when they would drop out of trees onto their enemies.
18th Airborne is out of Fort Bragg. More commonly known as the 82nd Airborne.
Yo, OP, throw a "SHITPOST" tag on this. I'm old and it's early in the morning.
??? this☝️
It’s also possible that what is now known as XVIII Airborne Corps was once the 7th Virginia Volunteer Infantry or some such and it and has evolved into an Airborne Corps. Before they were called airborne they were called parachute infantry. Think cavalry going from horses to helicopters. It’s still called 7th Cavalry but could just as easily be the 7th Helicopter Corps instead.
Just gonna say it... the army has a whole department dedicated to lineage.. all the way back to founding for units as they get activated and in activated.. it's possible the Dragon Corps has some lineage to a unit Henry may have founded or was a member of... or it's another message
Greetings 18F, retired 18Z here.
I am as well... just liked being a Fox better... Trojanhorse... you?
Or armor.. many a Cavalry element became armor units... the 2nd, 3rd and 11th.. I served in the latter on the east west german border.... back in the day
Funny you should say trojanhorse, my old units symbol. I prefered 18B most.
Carson or Devens.. or Boblingen?
Devens, tolz, carson.
Ok I came around the end o your time... Carson Stuttgart then Carson for 9 years during the days of oif.. I got to carson with the move of the 2nd in 94.. 062..
I was in the Q during Grenada. Tolz in the second half of Reagans reign. Life was good.
Indeed indeed...
wait...they had paratroopers in the 1700's? lmaooo
Patrick Henry is my favorite founding father. He was just a little to radical for the other founding fathers and they treated him pretty poorly in later life.
He "smelt a rat" during the convention in Philly back in the day.. he refused to participate.... based on the abuses in government today... I'd say he was prophetic
Very inspiring. Needed that this morning to counteract the doom and gloom
True Patriot!
lets roll!
didnt he invent the iphone too?
I was told there would be liberty......kek
