Relax, Francis. All you had to do was take a second look at the wording, not throw up an essay reinforcing a lost argument.
Speaking/Writing should be done with intent, some finesse if a salient point needs be made, and clear distinctions when comparisons are presented. You had none of that in the OP
By using a critical eye, especially when contrasting or comparing "hot" topics, eliminates potential doubt. The impetus is fully on the speaker/writer in this regard so the audience properly receives the message by leaving nothing to imagination or interpretation. Speech 101. That's it. Again, be better is all that's being asked of you.
