This vote gives the assembly to now create a committee with the authorization to do subpoenas and gather documents. So that means they'll form a committee now (which takes time). Then that committee will start "looking into it" (more time). Then they'll release their "findings" for the assembly to go over and debate on (more time).
Does the buck stop there? Does the ball get passed up the chain to the state house and senate to further debate to determine if the committee and assemblies findings are accurate?
Who ultimately gets to make the decision to send a strongly worded letter to the seat of the US government "Hey Electorial College how ya doin'. You know that election XX months ago? Ya turns out we need to change our vote."
At any point in this process the train can derail or get diverted. I don't mean to doom and gloom here just being realistic. Basically don't just think "yay something is happening now I can go back to binge watching."
This is a good thing don't get me wrong! Definitely a win. But it's not going to be an overnight win.
