I'm sure this goes hand in hand with the Terramar project Jizzlaine was implementing, an anon posted a video here a few days ago which was pretty interesting.

Looks like they're hedging their bets this kind of worldwide maritime trade surveillance and a head start into opening new Arctic Circle routes will give them a new monopoly?
