where does this say about using ships? this seems to be about aircraft. and Evergreen International is air freight company that is no more.
The ship crashing is the first piece. A force majure clause is the legal documentation vent allowing the US military to take over civilian ships or cargo, like this one. For whatever reason, usually an act of God.
And what happened? An act of God, the ship crashed. Guess that military gets to take it over? Nice coincidence, huh? Cargo planes as well.
In other words, the point of the first article basically says the force majure clause was changed because they knew they were going to crash that ship into the ground.
If your package from Amazon fails to arrive in a timely manner, it means that all cargo planes/ships have been commandeered by the military under the force majure clause. And we are going to war.
That is the gist of the article. Time will tell if this is a sign of happenings, or happy coincidences.
I hear what you are saying, but is the US military able to just commandeer foreign flagged vessels at will? the two posts talk about aircraft is why I am asking. taking over US owned or flagged vessels is completely understood. question is foreign flagged vessels.
Depends on authority. We made the Panama canal. We let Panama run it as a courtesy. We even removed our military bases from the region. I don't believe for a second if a major world war broke out we wouldn't immediately take over that strategic point.
I just don't know what the geopolitical status of the region is. In regards to the region or the company that runs it. If we are to believe this to be true, we definitely have some power over to do this.
