Yesterday morning just as the sun was coming up they were full force. 15 planes in the sky gridding back and forth, it was honestly kind of amazing to look at. This morning we have the craziest thunderstorm ever. It has to be extremely upper atmospheric!
One small flash of lightning, but at least 30-40 seconds of long, loud, rumbling thunder. I have absolutely never heard a storm like this in my entire life. It sounds as if literally the gods are bowling and playing pool up in heaven.
I am hoping to find some fellow southerners here to confirm my reports and share their thoughts on this STORM.
In middle TN, and saw them trailing yesterday. We got hail early this morning and been thundering ever since. Not sure it's connected though, because often then trail and it doesn't result in storms.
Just want good, old-fashioned contrails back with nice puffy clouds again.
