What if they offloaded the containers from the front 1/3 or so and then used a high volume water pump and hose to blast the sand from below the bow?
I think that the combination of making the front lighter and dispersing the sand would make it feasible to tug out.
Just my Sunday thought while reading into the Suez situation.
washing the sand away would cause the center of the canal to fill up. Better to get more dredges pumping it out.
They could use the traditional style drudge, which scoops up below itself, to clear out the blasted away sand.
