I personally am turned ON by the idea of such people in leadership or other influential positions. IMO we need more leaders professing their faith in something or someone, whether Jesus or whatever God they look to. Although faith is not a requirement for patriotism, the two can definitely complement each other. I think we're generally in agreement about LW. His faith is primarily what drives him not to give up. Compare this with the left, who are so given to evil they flee at the slightest mention of faith.
I think it isn't the best way to have a guy who trusts something just because it's good for his well-being in influencial position... I'm talking about Lin promoting global blackouts, pope being arrested, etc.
