Agreed.  I did have an encounter at a local shop the other day.  I'm in L.A. so I go in wearing my Trump mask. I come out and a young guy that was at the counter comes out..  Turns out he had covid and was sick for about 2 months and got better.   He said he's not a Trump supporter, but somethings going on.  He said the things they used to talk about before covid have all disappeared, and that he didn't vote for what's happening and that Biden's a half dead idiot and he can't stand Cameltoe.  I was kind of stunned, but agreed with him about Biden and we talked a bit about covid.  I didn't really know where to start with all the stuff we know, so I just let him know he wasn't alone regarding Biden and that something bad is going on.
  He's obviously waking up.  It's just agonizingly slow but it is happening.  My thought is that as long as Trump can keep keep a lid on any violence, as he has done, the plan has time to work.  I believe Trump and there's just too much evidence that we've already seen to think he's insincere. So I figure the best I can do right now is just keep talking to strangers in everyday life and nudge them in the right direction.
