What people need to know is the total mortality. IE, what is the chance I die from it?
Total mortality can be estimated by finding the estimated total infected, which can only be obtained by random sampling. You also need to know how many people are likely to get it, which is a more complicated number to calculate.
The fact that NO ONE talks about these numbers but instead focus on the cas fatality tells you everything you need to know.
Hint: total fatality makes COVID less dangerous than the common cold. You could've calculated this in March of 2020, when the first random sampling of populations were done.
And this is using the 20x (at least) inflated numbers of deaths!
PSSST... case mortality is a useless statistic.
