I live in a dictator state and I’ve found a few stores that I can comfortably go into without a mask. Please add the businesses you know of too!
- Homegoods/TJ maxx/Marshall’s - simply say you have a medical condition
- Home Depot - safe, employees don’t say anything
- Target - safe, employees don’t say anything
Have you tried just walking in without one? I do it all the time. My philosophy is, I'm not putting the mask on anymore, unless they come confront me and tell me too. Make them confront you if they want you to wear one.
Exactly! ?
I've turned and walked out if they tried to challenge me.
Man if we all did that to every store they’d drop the policy pronto!
Our state has a webpage. People are going to stores and filling cart of stuff they fully intend to buy. If told they have to wear a mask at the checkout, they are leaving their cart at the checkout and leaving.
Sounds like a good play for Trader Joe’s.
To be clear, I have not worn one since the beginning. The gas station said "you need a mask" When I said I couldn't he said "It is store policy " and refused to sell me my stuff. I left it and walked out. Have not been back. No money from me.
I stopped at a gas station in Ohio on a road trip last year and they were straight up assholes about it. Didn't expect that in rural ohio.
Try using the “I have a medical condition, thanks for asking” approach and keep it moving. If they’re crazy about it, then leave. Most times people back off with that excuse bc they’re afraid of crossing legal lines.
That's what I mostly do. I decide before going in, that if they say something then I'll just leave. A few times, when I didn't feel like dealing with it, I called ahead. I told them that I didn't wear masks, could I shop at their store?
One lady said, they would provide a mask. So I had to reiterate to her that I don't wear masks & I don't want a mask. I just want to know if it's o.k. to shop at her store like that. She finally said yes. I can't believe our world has turned into this silliness. I'm 52 & never dreamed this would be the future of America.
I have, each time I get kicked out because
A. I'm not an adult quite yet so I guess that gives them feeling of power and B. I don't like fighting anyway if I can help it. But I do make sure to redpill the staff quite loudly so everyone else in the store can hear.
The best part is when you hear an "Amen" from somewhere in the store.
I have teenagers and I've noticed that. I've gone into stores & they didn't say a word, yet they confronted my teenagers about it, when I wasn't with them.
